Trussed for solo double bass, originally commissioned by the Canberra Symphony Orchestra as part of their Australian Miniseries, will receive it’s second performance by the phenomenal new music powerhouse of Ensemble Offspring.

Hexaburst, solo for Hi-Hat will also receive it’s WORLD PREMIERE in this concert, staring the extrodianry Claire Edwardes.

Trussed features Ensemble Offspring’s stunning cellist Blair Harris alongside their Artistic Director and 2021 Hatched Associate Artists in an array of works by iconic female composers Caroline Shaw, Kaija Saariaho and Karen Tanaka, a flower-pot classic by Frederic Rzewski and works celebrating low strings by Luke Styles and Alfred Schittke. Be touched by a meaningful musical experience in four homes around Sydney brought to you by the ever-creative musicians of Ensemble Offspring during Australia’s COVID concert hall recovery.
